RULES.
To keep it simple: Be nice to your fellow players.
Since we're all here to have fun, no causing problems for your fellow players or alloying OOC issues to seep into IC action. Any issues amongst players are highly encouraged to be brought to the mod's attention, so we can solve it in a manner constructive for everyone involved.
No harassment of other players will be tolerated. This includes unwanted, overly-personal/sexual attentions, pushing for tags/plots/pairings when one or more players has shown disinterest, and pursuing personal information and accounts on other sites of your fellow players if the information has not been offered (aka stalking). Always bring harassment to the mod's attention and they will do their best to help resolve it.
There is no three strike system in this game. Major offenses like continuous harassment/stalking or other kinds of drama-stirring will lead to a ban, no explanations given and all decisions in this regard are left wholly up to the mod and her team.
This game is an OC-only game, this includes canon/fandom OCs.
Applications are not necessary as such. If you are interested in joining the game, please contact the mod via PM to the mod journal with your wanted character journal and a little info about why you're interested. Please make sure that there is some sort of history/personality background available in your character's journal, for the mod to look at!
Quality. We value quality RP'ing here, so a few basics are appreciated. Spell and grammar check, as a minimum.
Most importantly, however, please adhere to the rules for in-character and out-of-character behaviour.
God-moding of any sort will not be allowed. “Godmoding” falls under many definitions: Aside from the act of controlling another person's character/situation or dictating what another character (one that is not your own) does or says, godmoding can also refer to the enormous amount of power/abilities that a character possesses which vastly limits the way others can play with him or her. It can be mind-reading, amazing weapons/armor, or super, invincible, godlike abilities. Not only because it makes it difficult to play with these invincible “gods,” but also because it doesn't fit the setting, the mods ask that your character arrives to Mousai with no supernatural abilities.
Info-modding, knowledge that is gained OOC (out of character) which is not to be used IC (in character) unless it is gained ICly, isn't allowed either. It also extends to characters who seem to know everything. Insider-knowledge (such as that no openly and publically stated over the ingame PCD network) of plots, character histories, and the like should be discussed with the other players involved to decide if your character can/would/should have ways to gain this information.
Characterisation. Do your best to remain in-character at all times. It'll help the others understand how to act towards your character and give your character consistency across their interactions and from their particular canon. Chances are, you chose to play this character because (among other reasons) you found them interesting, so play them as their in-character interesting selves.
Hiatus. Give notification via the hiatus post that you are going on hiatus, list the affected characters, and note for how long the hiatus is expected to last. Follow the form given there. Hiatuses can be used to excuse a character from AC for one month. Allowances for special circumstances can be made on a case-by-case basis, but requests for extended hiatuses must be made in writing to the mod email.
Activity. There is no log or thread count to go by in this game. Activity is measured by whether a character has completed/taken part in the assignment given on a weekly basis by the Muses. You can read more about this system in the FAQ.
